Key
Building
Research
  1. Get your 50 workers, have them working on Gold, Food and Knowledge (you only need 14 workers on knowledge, the 15th doesn't give you more knowledge due to the games programming), have the excess workers exploring and build what you get from them. (Wood and iron aren't really important in the next stages but build a few Iron Mines might come in handy for later 'IF' you can spare the resources, don't make effort for it though).
  2. Research Electricity and Higher Education, so you can build your University.
  3. Advance to age 2 (Modern Age) ASAP, and save Food meanwhile. Workers cost 200 food to train in the Modern Age so if you can, its handy to build some Silo's so when you wake up in the morning after advancing, you can already build a job lot of workers to help you advance again quicker.
  4. Once in age 2 (Modern Age), train the new 200 workers you need (if you saved Food you won't have a problem reaching them).
  5. This step is really important for advancing to age 3 (Advanced Age), explore all you can, research Seismic Surveying FIRST! Build a Research Facility too. It lets you put 165 workers onto knowledge (remember that because of the way this game is programmed, you should only use even numbers so only put 164 workers on Learning).
  6. There's a lot of research that can be done in age 2 (Modern Age), but try to focus on advancing instead. I picked up Diplomacy and Trade as I was passing through the Modern Age because I find it handy to be able to buy Wood and Iron if I need it as its cheaper to buy than it is to make, but be sure to research Plowing Technology followed by Crop Rotation, because it allows you to build Grain Elevators and these things hold a LOT of food. I personally had enough elevators to hold 250,000 Food so that by the time I reached the Advanced Age I could train 250 workers (yes workers cost 1,000 food each in that age!).
  7. Once you got all of this, build your Space Centre and advance to next age.
  8. Once in 3rd age (Advanced Age), get your 500 workers (hopefully with the help of all those Grain Elevators).
  9. Now the next step is to build an Orbital Habitat. For this you will need 100,000 iron AND 100,000 gold so save up a LOT of resources. This allows you to have an extra 250 workers.
  • Consult the Tech Tree to see what you need to research.
  1. Get your 750 workers.
  2. Use the Tech Tree again to find the Deep Space Colony (allows an extra 250 workers again). This one requires 200,000 gold and 200,000 iron!!! So save for this one too. I had difficulty here, the Tech Tree doesn't seem to be complete for this bit so mail me if you have trouble finding it.
  3. Get your 1,000 workers.
  4. Build a massive army.
