People who are new to UWars frequently ask questions which may have disturbed some people in UWars General chat!

Here are a few hand-picked by the Wiki team!

Contents

[Top]

How do I get more land?

A. Exploration is key in increasing your land amount! But in order to explore you must keep an eye on your food, gold, and oil (Advanced Age) count. Also, the number of Workers you send out exploring will determine the amount of land that you will obtain from the expedition and will determine which kind of "deposits" you are going to find! e.g. Farming Land, Forests, Iron ores, Gold mines and Oil deposits (second age).

[Top]

How can I get more population?

A. Your population lives in houses so in order to increase your population count you must construct more houses on free land that you have explored! But be careful; having houses not only costs gold but food aswell! Citizens must be fed so watch your food surplus!

[Top]

I have houses and enough food but no population....what's up?

A. Building Power Plants can help you solve that problem! (Electricity must be researched in order to build power plants) Building houses gives you more population....but that population needs electricity to operate their TV's, Computers or whatever electrical devices they have in there! SO...with every house comes a number of citizens and with every number of citizens....comes your Power Usage! Everytime you build a Power Plant you produce Power...and at the bottom of the "My Empire" page it shows your "Power produced"(how much you can produce) and "Power used"(how much your citizens are currently using) Also there is the "Power Usage" which tells you what is the percentage of how much power your citizens are using! If it reaches or passes 100% then you will be unable to obtain any more citizens until you build more Power Plants!

[Top]

Why aren't my researchers researching!!!?

A. Make sure you have a school built. Then go to your Empire tab and make sure you have workers assigned to research. Then wait 1 tick.

[Top]

What is Empire Protection? How do I get it?

A. Empire protection is given when a player gets attacked constantly in a short period of time. The higher it is, the less resources can be stolen by the looter.

[Top]

How much power does each power plant make?

A. Coal = 30 power Gas = 70 power Fusion = 140 power Solar = 200 power Wind = 300 power Crystal = 550 power

[Top]

How do I lower my power usage?

A. Destroy buildings although it's better to just build power plants.

[Top]

I just built a Coal Power Plant and I'm still not making enough Power.

A.You have lots of free space. Build lots of Power plants before you go on a construction spree.

[Top]

Why can't I research (X ability)?

A. Generally because you have not met the research/construction prerequisites. If you are following the tech tree, the tech tree is not perfect. Some things have changed. You are not bugged it is the same for everyone.

      • Note: Communications is not available until the Modern Age. Each of the three Tiers that increase production are not available until their respective Tiers. 15% is available in Tier 1, 30% in Tier 2, and 50% along with their processing plant in Tier 3.

[Top]

I have too many citizens and I can't make any food to explore.

A. Destroy houses and cut down your food supply. The excess citizens will die off.

[Top]

What are the maximum amount of workers available?

A. Age 1 = 50; Training 25 Food Age 2 = 200; Training 200 Food Age 3 = 500; Training 1,000 Food Orbital Platform (available in Age 2) = 250 Deep Space Colony (available in Age 3) = 250 Total workers in Age 3 with all upgrades = 1,000

[Top]

How many researchers can I have?

A. In the first age you can only have 15 researchers. However due to the rounding you only need to detail 14 to the job. The last one won't count unless you have extreme weather. In the Modern age you can have 165 researchers.

[Top]

Why can't I use the market?

A. First make sure you have researched Diplomacy and Trade. After that build your market and then build at least 1 storage warehouse.

[Top]

How do I get Oil?

A. You can't find the oil wells until you research Seismic Surveying. First you have to build a School and research Higher Learning as well as Electricity. Then build the University. Once the University is built you can research Seismic Surveying. This will allow you to find Oil wells.

[Top]

If I explore with more workers will I get more nodes?

A. How many you find is completely random. The more workers you have the more likely you will be to get resource nodes. There are still times when Murphy's Law takes affect. Take these two examples as a showing of Murphy's Law. Skill and the number of workers have a factor. However there are flukes. These two for me were back to back exploring runs:

      • Our 200 workers have returned and have found 743 blocks of clear land. They also found 1 gold deposits, 1 iron ore deposits and 1 oil deposits.***
      • Our 200 workers have returned and have found 409 blocks of clear land. They also found 5 farming land, 8 forests, 5 gold deposits, 6 iron ore deposits and 7 oil deposits.***

[Top]

How does the battle system work?

A. - Classified -

[Top]

When Can I attack someone?

A. You can attack someone after you build a Command Centre.

[Top]

What do I need to build to attack someone?

A. In Age 1 you build a Command center that allows you to attack others on your planet. Age 2 you can build a Launchpad which allows you to attack those in your galaxy. Age three you build a Space Station that allows you to attack anyone in the universe. It takes 6 ticks to attack someone on your planet, 7 in your galaxy, and 8 in the universe. The ticks are all 15 minutes so plus members don't have a faster deployment speed for their attacks.

[Top]

Why didn't my plus key show up?

A. After the purchase you must go to the plus screen and activate it to your account. It is recommended to only activate one at a time since any remaining time a the end of a round will be lost.
